Legal basis of toll collection
The German Federal Trunk Road Toll Act (BFStrMG) specifies which vehicles are to pay tolls on which federal trunk roads, how the tolls are collected and how they are enforced. It came into force on 19 July 2011 and has been updated several times since then. The regulations cover the details of truck toll collection.
